Apple has launched the new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip. The company says the latest iPad Air brings faster performance, more memory, and better connectivity at the same starting price.
The 11 inch model starts at 599 US dollars, while the 13 inch version starts at 799 US dollars. Pre orders begin March 4 and sales start March 11.
Big Performance Boost with M4
The new iPad Air runs on Apple’s M4 chip. It features an 8 core CPU and 9 core GPU. Apple says it is up to 30 percent faster than the M3 version and up to 2.3 times faster than the M1 model.
For users in Nepal who edit videos, design graphics, or play heavy games, this means smoother work and faster results. Apps like Final Cut Pro and Pixelmator Pro will run faster.
The new GPU also supports advanced graphics features like ray tracing. This gives better light and shadow effects in games.

More Memory for AI Tasks
The iPad Air now comes with 12GB unified memory. This is 50 percent more than before. Memory bandwidth increases to 120GB per second.
The 16 core Neural Engine is 3 times faster than M1. This helps with AI tasks like note transcription, photo search, and smart editing in apps like Goodnotes.

Faster Connectivity with WiFi 7 and 5G
For the first time, iPad Air includes Apple’s N1 wireless chip and C1X modem. It supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6, and 5G.
This is useful for students and business users in Nepal who depend on mobile data or hotspot sharing. Cellular models also support GPS and eSIM for easy plan activation.
iPadOS 26 Brings New Features
The device runs on iPadOS 26. It features a new Liquid Glass design and improved window system. Users can manage apps more easily and organize files better.
The Preview app now allows users to edit and mark PDF files directly. This is helpful for students and office users who handle documents daily.
Two Sizes and Four Colors
The new iPad Air is available in 11 inch and 13 inch sizes. It comes in blue, purple, starlight, and space gray.
Storage options include 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.
Supports Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard
The iPad Air supports Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard. This makes it useful for drawing, note taking, typing, and multitasking.

Eco Friendly Design
Apple says the iPad Air is made with 30 percent recycled materials. The aluminum body uses 100 percent recycled aluminum. The company aims to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Should Nepali Users Upgrade?
For users upgrading from older iPad or M1 models, this is a big jump in speed and memory. With strong performance and the same starting price, the new iPad Air looks like a solid option for students, creators, and professionals in Nepal.
Official Nepal pricing may be higher due to taxes and import costs. The device is expected to arrive through authorized sellers soon after global release.
