Apple has officially launched the new iPhone 17e. This is a more affordable model in the iPhone 17 lineup. The company says it brings strong performance, better camera, and improved durability at a starting price of 599 US dollars.
Faster Performance with A19 Chip
The iPhone 17e runs on Apple’s latest A19 chip. It is built on advanced 3 nanometer technology. Apple says the new chip is up to 2 times faster than iPhone 11. It also comes with a new C1X modem. This modem is up to 2 times faster than the C1 in iPhone 16e and uses 30 percent less power.
For Nepali users who love gaming and multitasking, the phone supports high level games and smooth graphics. It also supports Apple Intelligence features in iOS 26.

256GB Base Storage at Same Price
One big upgrade is storage. The iPhone 17e starts at 256GB. This is double the storage of the previous model at the same price. It is also four times more than iPhone 12 base model.
This means users can store more 4K videos, photos, apps, and games without worrying about space.
48MP Camera with 2x Telephoto
The phone features a 48MP Fusion camera. It supports 2x optical quality zoom, which works like having two cameras in one. Users can shoot 24MP or full 48MP photos.
It also records 4K video with Dolby Vision at 60 frames per second. Night mode and Portrait mode are improved. The phone can even recognize people, dogs, and cats automatically for portrait shots.

Stronger Display and Durable Design
The iPhone 17e has a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR display. It comes with Ceramic Shield 2, which offers 3 times better scratch resistance than before.
The body is made from aerospace grade aluminum. It has IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone is available in black, white, and soft pink colors.
MagSafe and Fast Charging
MagSafe support is included. Users can attach wallets, cases, and wireless chargers easily. It supports up to 15W wireless charging. With USB C fast charging, the phone can charge up to 50 percent in around 30 minutes.

Satellite Safety Features
When there is no mobile network or WiFi, users can still send messages and contact emergency services via satellite. Features include Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages via satellite, and Find My via satellite.
This can be very useful for travelers in remote areas of Nepal where network coverage is weak.
iOS 26 and AI Features
The phone runs on iOS 26 with a new Liquid Glass design. Apple Intelligence brings Live Translation in Messages and calls. It also has Call Screening and Hold Assist to reduce spam calls.
Environment Friendly Design
Apple says iPhone 17e is made with 30 percent recycled materials. The packaging is 100 percent fiber based and recyclable. This supports Apple’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2030.
Price and Availability
iPhone 17e starts at 599 US dollars for 256GB. It will be available for pre order from March 4 and will go on sale from March 11.
For Nepali customers, the official price in Nepal may be higher due to taxes and import costs. It is expected to arrive through authorized resellers soon after global release.
The iPhone 17e looks like a strong option for users who want latest features at a lower price compared to Pro models.
