On March 3, tech giant Apple made a big wave in the pro market with new Macs, new chips, and new displays. The company introduced the new MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, a new MacBook Air with M5, and an all new Studio Display family. These updates focus on speed, AI power, and better screens. For Nepali creators, developers, and students working in video, coding, and design, this is a major upgrade year from Apple.
The new MacBook Pro now runs on M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. These chips use a new Fusion Architecture that combines two chip parts into one powerful system. Both chips feature an 18 core CPU and up to a 40 core GPU. Apple says AI and graphics performance is over 4x faster than older models in some tasks. The laptops support up to 128GB unified memory on M5 Max. The new models are available for pre order and will start shipping from March 11. Pricing for MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max was announced earlier alongside configurations, depending on size and specs.

Apple also launched the new Studio Display and the all new Studio Display XDR. The Studio Display starts at $1,599 USD and comes with a 27 inch 5K Retina screen, 12MP Center Stage camera, six speaker system with Spatial Audio, and Thunderbolt 5 support. For high end professionals, Studio Display XDR starts at $3,299 USD. It features a 27 inch 5K Retina XDR panel with mini LED backlight, 2000 nits peak HDR brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and support for P3 and Adobe RGB color. It also supports up to 140W charging via Thunderbolt 5. Pre orders begin March 4 and availability starts March 11. With these launches, Apple is clearly targeting pro users who want strong AI performance and top level display quality.
